Train in a houseViews — By Vedvrat Shikarpur on January 18, 2013 at 3:33 PM
The term “It happens only in India” seems to be apt for many of the idiotic and dumbfound events that happen around the country. This time however, there is an amazingly hilarious event that has nothing to do with India, so thank god for that. India is already tarnished a lot.
So it seems a woman took the “Aaj Kuch Toofani Karte Hai” ad too literally. A young woman in Stockholm, Sweden, who is in charge on cleaning the train, stole an empty train and lost control over it. It went off rail and crashed into a nearby house. No injuries were reported except the woman who was rushed to a local hospital. The police were informed about the accident at 2:30 am.
Bertil Grandinson, a 71 year old who lives on the top floor of the three storied building tells his tale. He woke up in the middle of the night from a loud crash which he says sounded like an airplane crash. He rushed to the window and was surprised to see a train. He thought he was dreaming for the first few minutes he said, for such a thing is rare even in ones dreams.
The women’s intentions for trying to do something like this are unknown, but experts believe the train crashed at a speed of 80 km/hr. The woman had been hired to clean the train and its depot a few months back.
We don’t know whether to laugh it off or to be worried about trains crashing into our houses. Maybe this is why the Metro Project was derailed in Pune? We might never know.
