Manchester United Soccer Schools to conduct player development course in city

Indian Express: Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) will conduct a three-day player development course from August 15 at Hot Fut ground in the city.

Head Coach Chris O’Brien and lead coach Mick Bennett will conduct sessions with enthusiasts aged between 6 and 17 and adults. “The team is excited about coaching in Pune,” said O’Brien.

“We hear a lot of good things about growth and development of football in the city. It will be special to start our player development programme on Independence Day,” he added.

MUSS will deliver challenging coaching sessions based on the the latest curriculum adopted in Manchester. These sessions, based on principles and methods employed by the Manchester United Academy, will focus on a variety of technical areas such as dribbling, short passing, turning, one-on-one defending and finishing. The programme will also focus on developing skills of young players in areas such as tactical understanding and mental, physical and social growth.
