River rafting at Kundalika

0800 hrs: Reach & Report @ Kundalika starting point (Rafting)
0830 – 0930 hrs: Pre-rafting session, Gear-up, Rescue techniques, Synchronization and set for rafting
0930 hrs: Rafting session on river Kundalika after the release of water from Bhira dam.
1130 hrs: Reach Rafting End Point. Leave for the Lodge for Lunch.
1245 hrs: Reach the Lodge & Rest
1300 hrs: Buffet Lunch
1400 hrs: Rest & Leisure Time
1500 hrs: Leave from Campsite
1700 hrs: Evening Tea Coffee enroute
1900 hrs: Reach Pune

High Big Gigs Present SICKFLIP feat RT : Grid Rythm Riffage!!
Are you up for an Uber Cool experimental experience? Come home to Da High this Friday for the Grid Rythm Riffage with DJ & Producer Sarvesh Shrivastava aka Sickflip & guitarist RT aka Rohaan Talsnia from the wonderful city of Mumbai. The collaboration is a complete auditory experience and the outcome is a groovy blend of glitch-hop to dubstep along with guitars which are finely processed and layered live by the two for unique electronic deliciousness. Sounds pretty insane, right?
Sickflip is a collaborative and experimental solo project brought to life by Sarvesh Shrivastava, who is a 20 year old music producer and DJ from Mumbai. You might remember him from the Mental Martians fame from the gig at High Spirits earlier this year. Musically, Sickflip ranges from glitch hop, dubstep, drumstep, experimental to chill out making everything from phat & glitchy sounds to groovy smooth beats. His styles are majorly influenced by artists like Bassnectar, Vent, Ill-Esha, Koan Sound,Trolley snatcha, Funtcase, Amon Tobin, Noisia and a lot more.
He kicked off 2012 with his EP on the Dutch label – Rub A Duck Records comprising of an original experimental dubstep track and a remix by Relay & Front. Their previous gigs at Blue Frog, Mumbai & Cool Chef Cafe have been wild and they’re looking forward to bring the same vibe down to Pune!

Theatre Festival
A four-day theatre festival will be organised by the Pune division of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad, starting from June 19. Addressing the media, the Parishad’s Pune division president Satish Desai said,”This year, the festival is dedicated to Sangeet Natak and to the memory of singer Manik Verma. Plays like ‘Sangeet Manapaman’, ‘Sangeet Jay Jay Gauri Shankar’, ‘Sangeet Hey Bandh Reshmache’ and ‘Sangeet Mrugaranjani’ will be staged by young artistes.” The festival will be inaugurated by actress Vandana Gupte.

Pause for Cause Exhibition of Textiles
In support of the Concern India Foundation, the Pause for Cause exhibition of textiles will be held from June 21 to June 23. To be held at the Sonal Hall at Karve Road the exhibition will 20 designers and entrepreneurs, from various parts of India, offering a wide variety of textiles, designer wear, semi precious jewellery and accessories. The event is aimed at helping people help themselves by making them self reliant. The proceeds from the fundraiser will be utilised for funding of children’s education, special care for the differently abled, health care and vocational training for women or shelter for the aged. On display will also be handloom tussore saris, Silk, linen and cotton saris amongst others.
