Jyotsna Bhole Swarotsav to be held on June 16, 17

Sakaal Times: The fifth edition of Jyotsna Bhole Swarotsav will be jointly organised by Srujan Foundation and Nanded City at Tilak Smarak Mandir on June 16 and 17.

The inaugural day will feature a special programme on ‘Natya Sangeet’ as a tribute to the late Jyotsna Bhole by little champ Prathamesh Laghate, upcoming artistes Amol Bavdekar, Shilpa Puntambekar and Nilaxi Pendharkar.

On Sunday, a shehnai recital by Tukaram Daithankar will be a fusion of shehnai, flute, violin and tabla, which will be followed by a performance by Sumedha Desai, the upcoming vocalist from Panjim. A special fusion will be performed by Roopak Kulkarni (flute), Abhijit Pohankar (synthesizer), Ramdas Palmule (tabla) and Kalinath Mishra (pakhvaz).

In the second part of the event, renowned kathak dancers Sharwari Jamenis and Rutuja Soman will showcase different forms of Kathak, which will be followed by classical recital by renowned vocalist Pt Ulhas Kashalkar. He will be accompanied by Pt Suresh Talwalkar (tabla) and Pt Arvind Thatte (harmonium).Jyotsna Bhole Swarotsav will be open for audience without any entrance fees, Vandana Khandekar, daughter of the late legendary artiste said.
