For those of you who don’t know, ‘A Room To Read’ is an initiative by Stephanie Macwan, to build a library in a low-income, under-resourced school in Pune, with no access to any books except the drab two or three text books the PMC provides them with. The idea is to open a window of opportunities to these kids and create a safe place for these children to fill out their imaginations with stories of victory and determination and to aid their learning process.
Help make a difference. You can also buy them books directly –> http://www.flipkart.com/wishlist/a.room.to.read .
