As I step in to the boutique, I am simply mesmerized by its interiors and ambience. With pink being the main colour of the theme, the entire decor is done with environment friendly things. The smartly done designs from cane and interesting low seating arrangements simply add charm to the store.
Located in Sahakar Nagar near Araneshwar temple, Aura boutique has been started by fashion stylist Amruta. Just a month old store and it is already making news for offering the best of handlooms from across the country. A complete desi brand, Aura stands class apart for offering ethnic, classy and original stuff.
The boutique has a wide range of authentic fabrics, which come directly from the weavers to the store. It offers unique designs in authentic Cotton, Kalamkari, Lucknowy, Paithani and other Indian fabrics. Amruta personally pays attention to every fabric that she brings to the store. You will also find hand painted fabrics with stunning designs that sure lure your eyes. I loved the Kurti with a beautifully painted rural woman carrying a matki. Available in three different colours, I landed up buying two of them. Even the Bandhini available in this store comes with attractive colour combinations and finely done mirror work.
The store also has interesting collection in sarees for regular and functional use. I personally was in love in the black saree with golden borders and appliqués. Cut outs of designer blouses are also available in trendy colours. They also have self printed salwar kutra materials for office use in affordable prices.
The speciality of the store is its authentic fabrics and spectacular designs that will sure leave your friends in envy. They also have made to order facility, where you can request them to get a particular design done on a saree or plain fabric either in embroidery or by hand paint.
Amruta is very prompt at suggesting the patterns and designs on each fabric that you choose. With skilled masters present at her store, you don’t even have to worry about getting it stitched. Just share with them what you want and the masters out there will carve out it exactly that way.
They also offer authentic herbal skin care soaps, which are specially brought from Pondicherry. Notepads and books done from handmade paper are also on display and are quite a temptation to pick. Decorative candles and agarbattis with fragrance are also available at the store.
